School Uniform
We encourage all parents to send children wearing school uniform.
As well as looking smart and creating the right ethos for our academy, we feel it builds self respect in pupils and pride in their school.
This policy also reduces unnecessary competition between pupils related to the latest trends and fashions.
Note: the school sweatshirt and cardigan should be ordered directly from our supplier

Named Clothing
It is essential that a child's clothing and property be marked in some way. This does help when trying to trace lost property.
Shoes
Children should wear sensible, plain black shoes, without logos, that they can fasten independently. On Health and Safety grounds, pupils are not allowed to wear high heeled shoes or flip flops. Trainers can be brought in for outdoor play (non black soles).
Protective Clothing
Children are liable to get paint, paste or clay on their clothing no matter how careful staff and children are. An old shirt with the sleeves cut to a suitable length makes an admirable overall, which can be kept in the academy and worn during art and handwork lessons.
Jewellery
Jewellery should not be worn in the academy. Stud earrings are permitted, but must not be worn to school on the days the P.E. activities are taking place.
